So far calls from these people - all different numbers - all say they are working on behalf of the Nation Audit office - they are not!

I have received numerous calls from these people over the past few weeks on my mobile, which i use for both business and personal calls, they are more frequent when I bump my advert on Gumtree, so i can only deduce that they are scouring Gumtree for numbers to call. Yesterday and today I have answered the calls and stated that my number is registered with TPS, and to please stop calling. (I am also dealing with family emergency at the moment, so these calls are causing me extra stress, when I am waiting f

I just had fun with 2 of these calls. Call 1: I pretended to be deaf and to mishear everything the caller said... who eventually disconnected! Call 2: when asked "and how are you today?" I responded by giving them a detailed litany of all my ailments, in my case all invented! I would not let the caller get a word in and I terminated the call by thanking them for calling about my health but I have to go now to have my piles looked at by the nurse and I did not want to miss my appointment. This caller knew my name (but not my correct surname- so not bonafide) and claimed that they had my information because I had been involved in an accident and they were handling the claim. I have not. And when I told the man this, he changed the tack and claimed that someone else had given me as as a contact for their own claim. Nonsense. No one would have done that, or know to do that (the mobile number is not readily available). Three hours later they rang again and, when I answered, hung up. H

Got a call today from this number:.... 0800 759 0420. They are saying from Sky TV and that they are giving away Free Sky HD boxes. When asked what do I need to do.... They said please confirm your Sky ID & Security details.... I said you are not Sky this is a dodgy call. then they hanged up. 15 minutes later they called back. same person and same story. DO NOT GET THEM ANY INFORMATION.

Caller asked for Managing Director. When asked about the subject of the call told me that she could only disclose it to the Managing Director. After much irritable discussion it transpired that Nova Technologies were sending a Tablet. That it was a present. For free. Very strange call. All the hallmarks of a nuisance.

Asian woman offering refund from Sky. You would have to be very gullible to give your bank details over the phone to her but some will. It is so dishonest!
