This is a company called Ace U.K they are cold callers for an accident claims company who have information that you have been involved in a crash in the last 3 years.
SCAM - Claims to be from Amazon - obviously not. "Press 1" to cancel payment coming out of my account.
Automated call - claimed to be HSBC telling me a payment of £600 had been authorised to an overseas account and I was to press ‘1’ immediately to stop it. Hmmmmm.......

At least 2 calls every day from this number. When I do pick up the phone goes dead. Its about time the TPS in this country gained real power like the US, over there if a company calls after being told not, they have to pay a fixed penalty to the homeowner. In this country it seems the TpS is totally ignored!

TAXES / HMRC Asked for me by name, introduced as Refund my taxes or something like that, then said it was in relation to my marriage allowance refund. I replied I am not married to which the response was "oh, you are no longer married?". Odd as I have never been married, however I had googled marriage allowance recently but at no point entered any of my own details...coincidence or pairing of my cookies to my name and number??
SCAM Someone passing themselves off as Business Energy Direct. It certainly isn’t them, they are based in Rotherham which is an 01709 number and none of their staff are Asian so don’t have Asian accents.

RSPCA call. Hung up before they got to the end of their script and asked for money. One time I had a duck with a broken leg in my garden, and RSPCA were not even remotely interested. Called to tell me reviewing my Insurance from a company name I have not heard of. I put the phone down as previous such calls were scams.

Scammers pretending to be HMRC, saying arrest warrant issued, phone number disconnected, bank accounts blocked, driving licence & passport cancelled, police on their way to home address (which the scammers don’t know). Do not provide any truthful info - lie as tho your life depends on it (your finances are under threat) as they will try to get you to agree to paying £987.26 (over £1000 gets bank fraud dept involved). Been getting calls from this number over last few days so called them back. First a woman answered, seemed like it was the last thing she wanted to do and told me the line was bad so she would call me back. No call back so I called again. A man called Joshua stated he was from Lotto Social and would like to offer me 5 free Euro Millions lines for tomorrow night (24/04/2015). I told him it wasn t something that would interest me but thanks for calling and could he make sure I don t get anymore calls. He said

It's a 'clever' automated call, very sneaky and creepy about a "local energy adviser in my area" - not at all human with a bunch of questions and responses that are easy to spot if you know how. Older people will def be taken in - horrible development of technology!
