This number has called me several times in the last few days - foreign accent (Asian) - call themselves BT - definitely scram calls !
Scam call claiming that I had been in an accident. Refused to confirm their identity. Have blocked the number and reported the call to the ICO.
Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.
