I have the same problem as you guys! After I post an ad on gumtree to sell my car I was called by this indian guy. They also called me from other numbers: 01615145214, 07745145214, 01645145924, 07745145924, 07745181248. Same guy every time. I told him I'm gonna call back. He said to ask for Tom.

This number called my mobile. I ignored it as number I did not recognise and they did not leave a message. I have not disclosed my mobile number to anyone I do not know. I suspect that they are dialling numbers to see if they get a response and that it is a computer dialling the number. If there is no response within a certain time it dials the next.

Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this. This should have been stopped long ago by the authorities - it's a disgrace that it hasn't been.
