Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.
They call twice. I did not answer. They left no message.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This is an iseal company offering scam fund recovery, they call during the day from 8am until 9pm at least 4 times a week. They are part of the scam adverts that facebook are running and they got my number from an advert as I bait scammers and expose them. This company are unaware that they have bought information from a scammer running ads on facebook but this company also want too much personal information considering they are hard to find on the internet.

Received SMS pretending to be HMRC saying I was due a rebate. Included a link to website where, it said, I could verify my identity. I did not follow the link, of course. Reported to Action Fraud as phishing attempt.
Fraud - They pretend to be Royal Mail and say they want your email but your email doesn't work so will send a link. I reminded them Royal Mail DONT send SMS and they are frauds - they hung up!
