My father had a call from this number. Stupid enough that they asked him for his bank details... well, he told them all. Noticing too late, that this might be scam. 01202627797 called today. It was automated and said they were from Visa fraud team. They were holding a payment of £800 (and something) pounds which was a suspicious payment on a gambling site in America. I was told to press 1 if this wasn't me and to be connected to the fraud team. Obviously I just hung up, searched the number which didn't come up with anything, I checked my bank accounts and rang the bank's fraud number. As I thought, it was a scam.
SCAM Called from Leeds UK with recorded message with American accent threatening legal action to which if I do not respond I will be sent to the good old (American term used)County Court House if I don't ring the message to be dealt with. Ha Ha Ha
Hung up when I picked up phone, so either rude or a dropped call maybe? havent called back they should leave a message.

Apparently I have opted in to receive telephone calls regarding financial services. LIE. I was encouraged to press 5 to talk to someone who will send me a package explaining on how I can write off up to 50% of my existing debt or some such rubbish.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

I received a text from this number saying my apple pay was temporarily deactivated, and a link to reactivate it. Upon clicking the link I was then asked for my name, address and date of birth, and then got suspicious when asked for my full card details. Quick look on google found it is a know scam. Beware.

SPAM - Claimed to be from a trading company and said that I had registered interest online (which I haven't). Hung up on me when I asked for him to spell out the name of the trading company. Seemed suspicious.

Fraud Recorded message saying it was from "Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs" claiming there was a "tax fraud claim against me", and to "press 1 to be connected". If I didn't press 1, a warrant for my arrest would be issued and I would be "arrested immediately". Guess what? I didn't press 1 and have not been arrested. They must think we are all stupid.
