I have been abroad for 2 months and started to receive calls at night in the second week of being away (due to time difference I guess) on average once a week. I have never answered & no message is left. Although the number shows as a regular number on phone call list you can t return the call using the number. On googling area code it shows as Glasgow, & on googling the whole number various sites come up with people recounting similar stories - so I will try to block number / not answer...and would advise

Tries to con you into giving electricity details and the end of contract date so that they can basically fill up their CRM system with leads for future calls. Said that they worked with my supplier but couldnt tell me who it was. They are obviously a telemarketing company who are looking to sell details to electricity suppliers for future sales. I politely declined and she thanked me for listening and hung up.

I got a 'eBay' code (allegedly) from this number. To those people who are saying this number is genuine, what made them go on to this website? If I get a genuine text, I don't then search that number on the internet and then make a comment on a site that deals with dodgy phone numbers. There are many such comments, which is even more suspicious!
