This company has called me between 2-3 times a day telling me I've applied for a loan. Each time I've assured them I haven't applied for s loan and ask to removed off marketing, and each time they hang up when I asked to be removed and continue to call me each day. Does anybody know what offence is being committed here and how I could begin prosecution? As I don't believe it's a breach of data protection

Tries to con you into giving electricity details and the end of contract date so that they can basically fill up their CRM system with leads for future calls. Said that they worked with my supplier but couldnt tell me who it was. They are obviously a telemarketing company who are looking to sell details to electricity suppliers for future sales. I politely declined and she thanked me for listening and hung up.

I had a missed call from this number on my mobile but no message left. Also similar number called me recently, probably the same marketing company or call centre? I don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... It's Purple Bricks, probably a trustworthy call, but they (their machine) need to ring for more than 5 secs to allow for answering. I recently registered/attended a house-viewing through them, it's likely related.

Scam - Scam - Had a msg from "Amber Properties saying that an agent/rep would call to do a house inspection. No chance and would be difficult - number is unregistered and is PAYG.
Had missed call from this number - no message left.
They call to say your life insurance is up for review, and state that it hasn’t been reviewed for 18 months. When you ask what insurance company or even that you don’t have any, they hang up straight away.

This is one of those "Hi. This is BT. your Internet has a fault" etc recorded scams, which I presume goes on to ask you for your bank details to "reconnect" ...
This number called me this morning insisting they were my bank trying to prevent fraudulent transactions from a cloned card, then asked me to read out the digits on my card!! They didn't know which bank and stated it was an amazon transaction for £300 that was the fraud, this is tosh and I told them so, beware, they are very persistent even when called out.
