They called me and stated that a criminal offense has been registered in your name as you were caught in tax evasion. They also claim to be from the HMRC. Don't worry they are just scammers. The person said we'll take legal action against you. I told him to do whatever you want and he quit the phone call immediately

Scam call, pretending to be from HMRC.
SCAM recorded message saying from my Bank that 2 amounts in my bank account and to call them by pressing certain numbers etc!!! Didn’t of course and put the phone down. I only answered as it was from my area, Oxford! They have tried before about 6 months ago. Be careful.
Phone rang for 5 seconds then rang off. Probably an automated spam call.
Car accident claim scam-mongers, probably a robot, female voice, said a company name so quickly I couldn t catch it. The opening speech was along the lines of I m calling because you were in a car accident that wasn t your fault, is that right? . Said no and put the phone on one side - call ended after 23 seconds, but at least it was at their cost. Am registered with TPS for this mobile, so will report and block.

I got a call from this number. Only rang twice before hanging up. I didn t bother calling back. I have similar calls like this in the past before, although I can t remember their numbers .

This number calls several times a day, but hangs up prior to being able to answer. When you try to call back, you have an Asian female who just giggles and will not state which company she is calling from. Just another scam / harassment call - this is what I thought the telephone preference scheme was supposed to be stopping !!!

This number has rang me several times I'm sick to death of cold callers!!! I've had to block alot of numbers,even ignore the phone sometimes.
SCAM - says from uk revenue and customs, recorded by woman with American accent threatening court action if you don’t press 1 to speak to an agent. Don’t do it - all correspondence from government departments come via post!!!

SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. BT continue to make annoying calls knowing that whoever they want to speak to is not at this address nor have they ever been living here. BT must be stopped.
The automatic voice telling me that there is an investigation against me for the tax fraud in HM revenue and customs. If I do not proceed and choose option one on the keyboard I will be arrested straight away.

What a delightful girl! Called up asking for a Director who isn t based in our office or who ever comes here. I asked what database she was using. I train sales people so know the job can be tricky at the best of times. I then politely and jovially said "Go on then, Who are you an what you trying to sell?" To which she replied "Perfect. This number has called me a few times and never leaves a message. If it was Amazon or anyone else legit they would always usually leave a message. This number NEVER leaves a message and when I did answer it on one occasion, an automated voice starts to speak and I hang up. Do not trust them and very very annoying.

So far 3x calls today, all using different phone numbers, and numerous previous "Amazon" calls over past weeks using different numbers. Tend to be worse on a Thursday. I've signed up to the TPS service by they still keep coming through. Why can't somebody stop these devious crooks?
