keeps ringing at all hours during day. Who are these persistent time wasters?

I received several texts from this number and another ending on 64 purporting to confirm an Airbnb booking in China. Clearly a scam

GGRRR! So annoying! Persistent calls to speak to someone in accounts - all to do with international payments and foreign exchange to see if they can get a better rate. Told him we had just switched and take our name off the list please (an option he offered). He then said I will call back, I said no, no point, remove us from the list we are not interested. Called my mobile 4 times, I blocked their number. They left message on answer machine but it was complete silence.

I can t really say that this number is NOT TRUSTWORTHY, as if you want a lower gas/electric tariff, it may just be in your interest to answer the call, but if you are happy with your supplier, just answer the fone & let them know that you are happy with your service & they ll take your name off the ring list. Answered and lots of background noise but no one saying anything. They then hung up and I blocked them after reading all of the comments on here

Back again, they phoned my mobile yesterday and today my landline. Local garage had my contact numbers 2 years ago when I bought a car. In the past has just been postal advertising. The number is in Runcorn so misrepresentation of fact! Answered the phone with what are you selling, told them not to phone again as I don t want to buy a car. Must be a call centre in Runcorn, annoyed that local garage has sold or is using contact details for reasons beyond the original sale!!!
