Called me this evening at 18:30. No one said anything then they hung up.

Automated call. When I picked up, heard automated message, as if from a voicemail service, saying " your call cannot be taken at the moment, please call later".... hung up immediately.

This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

Claims to be a company called UK Talks. Definitely suspicious if not scam or fraudulent. Website does not show numbers which call. The numbers they call from frequently change, the latest being this number. 01997 280702 is also one currently used by them. 01212 840668 used to be theirs but is now discontinued. A Facebook account has been created with this number for cybercriminality. All the publications are attacks against a cycling Club based in Goma called Goma Cycling Club. I'm formally complaining as the president of the club against this number and the Facebook page. Hope justice in UK will take good care of this situation ASAP.
Called this number back & she claimed to be from HMRC who apparently have served me with two warrants around miscalculation of Tax. They apparently called at my home on two occasions during lockdown when I was home and not allowed to leave me house. She was very plausible, giving me a name, badge number and warrant ref numbers. The blighters rang me again with their wretched recorded message telling me it was not too late to claim. I was under pressure, about to send an urgent email. I want to see these people prosecuted. If I thought I was entitled to a p.p.i. refund I would claim it myself, not pay some parasitic firm to do it for me and get half the money. These people are dangerous. They catch out innocent people.

Quite clearly an Ambulance Chaser allegedly from National Accident Investigation saying that I had an accident which was not my fault. Where do they get their information and why is it that the Information Commissions Office does not stamp out these nuisance calls. I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! They phoned several times. I said my name was Arnold Schwarzenegger. The man called me Mr Schwarzenegger from that moment on. I said I ll be back and left the phone on the side of the table. When I returned he had hung up. Brilliant result - they ve not called me back since!!
