The individual announced themselves as Alpine Group but having recently received a call from another similar number last week, I told the female caller to STOP THERE! then hung up. Just received a call from this number about online trading. When asked how they got my number, she said online banner ! Strange - I asked her to remove my details - she said that I would need to speak to someone in the company and would not give me the name of the company. Then hung up on me.

Said he was from BT Outreach and would speed up my internet. Asked me to start my computer and follow some instructions. I put the phone down but he kept ringing back, became aggressive and threatened to block my internet.
Received a call from this number, but already know of the scam where they are pretending to be sky and pretending to want to improve your connection. When in actual fact they ask you to download an app which gives them full access to all of your mobile phone/financial data and locks you out

Picked up the phone and an automated voice said "this is a message from....." there was a number but they said it so quickly I couldn t take it down. The message was "are you online for real?". No idea what it meant and I wasn t online at the time

Rang 5 times through the night and left 2 voicemails, the 1st voicemail was a women using a distressed voice claiming to be my mam and saying I needed to ring her urgently, the 2nd was the same women again using a distressed voice asking where I was and begging me to ring her. I think after 40 years I know my mams voice.
