This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines. I ve just had a call from this number. They said that as I had been involved in a road accident my case had been referred to them. Pre-recorded PPI claim message. I get these daily from 0843 numbers but they ve now started phoning me on local area code numbers as well! I can t ignore the calls as they come through to my work phone. I ve registered with TPS and it s made no difference! Ignore and don t call back.
Don't know who it is, but when I answered, I got the silent treatment. Probably someone who lost their nerve and couldn't go on with whatever scam they're upto.

this number has been calling me several times per day for around 2 weeks, when I answered it was a telemarketing company telling me I had been involved in an accident (I haven t) when I responded with "well you know more about this than I do" the caller hung up and didn t call again so I will definitely be using that tactic in the future
