Recorded voice claiming to be Amazon and saying I'd been charged £95 for Prime, and to dial '1' if I didn't agree. A quick check with the Amazon website confirmed this to be BS. We wonder where dialling '1' would go and at what cost?

I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. This number called my mobile. I ignored it as number I did not recognise and they did not leave a message. I have not disclosed my mobile number to anyone I do not know. I suspect that they are dialling numbers to see if they get a response and that it is a computer dialling the number. If there is no response within a certain time it dials the next.
SCAM: A man claiming to from Medical Alert company, offering to sell me a personal alert alarm. A neighbour received the same call, and was taken in, passed on to another person and gave bank card numbers (He has now alerted his bank). This scam is targeting disabled older people who may want an alarm.

This number called me saying there is a payment of £900 pending for online shopping, they wanted me to press 1 to report it as fraud. I don't trust this number so I put the phone down
