Sounded automated, asked them to repeat themselves and they carried on talking. Sounded Indian origin
Indian call center claiming to be O2 and offering me a 30% discount but also asking me to verify that I'm the owner of the phone by text even though they called me. They also wanted me to tell them how much I was paying per month so that they could discount it, if they are from O2 then why would they not know how much I'm paying already? It's a scam, clearly. No matter how much he tried to persuade me otherwise.
SCAM Every day, two or three times per day. Arrogant woman argued with me that I had registered my number to have a call back from her. No way! They are online trading people. I told her several times do not call me again. She was not for giving in. Eventually I told her to F-off.
Hung up as soon as I answered it. No idea who it is or what they want.

This is Addenbrooke s hospital appointments reminder department in Cambridge. You have to wait for a call back to confirm you are able to attend the appointment. They do tend to call at odd times but a sensible service. Just remember to bring your appointment card otherwise parking will cost you an arm and a leg. pun intended
Got a call from this number today 15.30pm. It came up as Malawi. The number on my screen did not have the 0 in front - just the +, so think this search might have recognised it as a Manchester number. But, glad of the warning, thanks

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Fraud COMMERCIAL AND DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS took money of us by claiming they had details of illegal transactions relating to businesses that owe us money. It turns out those businesses are their other client's debtors too and they use their private data illegally. Unfortunately we fell for this scam and paid. The Police let them get away with it as civil matter. The Courts are our only hope.
