My wife took the call and person with a Asian voice started to go on about my council tax and when i asked why he was calling at this time he said it was very important and i told him all government offices are closed and that this is a failed scam and he and his boss must be as thick as hell to call at this time then i put the phone down. Beware its another scam.

I just researched this number as it appeared on my phone 4 times in the last month and one site said its a company named Domestic & General. I just wrote to them to remove me from their marketing list.

AVOID!!! 020 357570311 has called at approximately the same time each day for the past few days (August 2014). I have to have the answerphone on to filter my land line calls due to scam calls. When I called back it was answered by an American voicemail saying "The number you have dialled is not in service". Clearly this is an untrustworthy caller who is either after my money and/or dishonest. If they were bonafide they could leave a message on my answerphone - but of course they don t. Almost certainly SPAM/SCAM as it called at the usual parasites'/pests' evening time, in this case 6.30pm. There was a suspicious pause & silence (auto-dialler?) when I answered and then the call was disconnected. I then rang back the number (03300270201) and got the following recorded message (female voice, American accent): "The number you have dialled is no longer in service. Spam/Phishing for information call: Caller claimed to be from Sky checking the renewal of services on my contract then asked me if I had any problems with my Sky equipment. I do not have any contract with Sky and no equipment, so I asked which equipment she was referring to at which point she ended the call.
This is a scam call supposedly from Amazon. The are very convincing.

This is 100% a genuine call from Marks and Spencer’s Credit Services. I called them independently on their website contact number and they were trying to contact me with an account related query. The annoying thing is when I had tried to answer the number on the first ring the call germinated. However, it is not a scam number.
The usual silent call albeit one that left a number for a change, no more useful though.

Caller claimed to be from BT openreach calling about internet issues. They asked me to run a speed test and when I said I had 69 download and 18 upload they said that the difference was an issue. When I pointed out that it was always like that, and wasn't supposed to be the same they hung up. Obviously a scam.

Received a WhatsApp message from this number claiming to be someone who has just immigrated to the UK. In the WhatsApp contact details it says that the number is a business account but it also has a comment saying it isn’t a business account. Very dubious. Suspect a phishing scam
Called every day now from a number beginning 0208 xxxxxx. This number 0208 275 4022 today. So many scam calls now I let every call go to the answerphone and just use the mobile, this is so persistent that I called back from mobile. There was no connection, tried the other niumbers beginning 0208 received in the last 7 days - BT recording saying numbers unrecognised, Have no idea if this is a scammer or genuine - but if its genuine they are doing a poor job as you cant call back.
