Got a call from this number saying they could reduce the insurance costs on my television from ?7 per month to ?5. This is remarkable as I don t have television insurance. They asked for my bank details to "set up a direct debit". I declined so they said they would put the forms in the post. I look forward to receiving them. They called themselves TV Guard.

Then told me he needed money and I should give him some as people like me are rich because the government gives me money. Got even more aggressive when I said no . here we go again, graduates who can't get a proper job so they end up in a call centre and plague us with cold calls

Called me today, i answered it, heard a crowd of people talking in the background and hung up....

Said they had my name on a database for being involved in an accident. I have not been in an accident but I don t like to think my name is on some database. I asked them to take my nae off the database.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. automated call at 17:05 telling me I was entitled to a personal pension bonus and to press 5 for more info. Hung up in case 5 impleneted a high cost call diversion. Lost all cred when they said I was under 60!

Was obviously working through a phone book since they asked for the ex village hall secretary by name - the number had been listed as a personal number in error. Our number is registered with telephone preference service to stop wasting our time and money
