I said that I didn't believe this was a genuine call, hung up and then called HMRC but couldn't get through. Tried to say they were a company (could they catch what the company was after three attempts at asking. A yway as soon as the Asian man said "were running a promotion on your number".... well he got a mouth full and a polite goodbye hahaha

SCAM Claims to be offering a mobile phone deal from O2, and based in Manchester. Unlikely as calls from a London number, and wanted payment details.

Answered because it was a local number, it was a recorded message informing me she was from Visa protection (or some such) and a £300 payment to Amazon and £1000 and odd to elsewhere were pending, press #1 for help if I had not authorised them. An unnerving scam, could easily catch someone out. Blocked.
