I was called 3 times yesterday spoke with a gentleman called Mark said my PPI claim had been successful and I would be receiving £8749 pounds asked did I want it paid into my bank account or a check I said by check he told me it would be delivered to my house today between 10 and 11 an and the I would have to pay the £298.He said he worked for Claims Advisery Group to the best of my knowledge I have no dealings with this company

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - scam PPI calls mainly. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this. This should have been stopped long ago by the authorities - it's a disgrace that it hasn't been.
Had a call on my mobile from this number Saturday pm - I was up a ladder at the time so not best pleased. Rang off before I could answer, but when I called back - it was an incorrect number - obviously don't want anyone ringing them! Sounds like a scam!
