SCAM. Got an automated message claiming to be from HMRC and said that I have a tax fraud case against me and if I don't press 1 to talk to the taxman, I will get arrested. Sounds like a scam to me.

Called me saying they are the Carphone Warehouse and were trying to get me to buy laptops, phones and tablets. The line was pretty rubbish so I'm not sure if this was a scam as I'm sure the Carphone Warehouse don't just randomly call up numbers.
Holly Baldwin, Silvershine Services called my mobile today, asking about the accident I had just had. Asked where she got my number she said Road Traffic Accident Department which obviously is twaddle, or there own internal RTA department. When pressed repeatedly about the department she put the phone down. Shame, I was just getting warmed up.

Pretending to be from some insurance company about compensation for 'minor accident' I allegedly had some time ago. When I said she's lying trying to steal some data from me she immediately hanged up.

Kirby Vacuum (allegedly - I suspect some form of UK distributor) calls for many years, refuses to remove my details - I have complained to ICO and suggest others do likewise. Also uses 01257 -88XXXXX numbers

Did click on the link which was very stupid , ( I was expecting the parcel ) but nothing happened and no other details from me were asked . It was just a blank page. SCAM I was called from a lady called Lisa. She sounded Indian. Anyway I am lucky because I have been allocated a free discount card. Free, up to 40% off shopping, Tesco etc. Also they will send me free flight tickets for me and my family, anywhere in Europe. Didn't want my bank account no. just my sort code and account number. So they could credit me £1. I put the phone down. I wonder if I will get my free discount card in the post as promised.
Call received from this number - on answering there was silence. After waiting a few moments heard ringing again so hung up in case I was being charged for the call. Have now blocked this caller

Using mature females rather than our asian colleagues (obvs to make the business they are calling more receptive) same tactics as always. push push push. I've asked for a copy of their magazine by email but still waiting. "when should we call back half an hour"?
