I didn't recognise the number so didn't answer but they didn't leave any message on my answerphone. As it was a number local to me I called it back but BT said the number wasn't recognised so looks like a scammer
Received this number on my landline and wasn't available to take the call. Rang it bak to see who it was, but the person answering said they do not use this number as they only use mobiles. Bit of a mystery.

SCAM; beware, there was a recorded message saying £600 transaction had just happened on my credit card and to press 1 to stop the transaction. my credit card complant would not call me from a mobile number using a recorded message. BEWARE
Got a call from this number on my mobile. Didn't answer as I don't know who'd be ringing me and I don't know anyone from Congleton - blocked the number. Never even heard of the place until now!

Fraud On Caller Display, this number looked like a London exchange. On answering, I got a recorded message saying it was something to do with bank security, followed by a message that was intended to frighten. I hung up, and have blocked the number. I'm not too certain about the caller, as he started off by saying both my Company name & personal name, & he'd obviously "done his homework" as when I asked him who was calling, he said the name of my provider. SPAM Caller will ring your phone and then hang up upon hearing your voice but if you try to call the number back it is not recognised and an automated voice will say 'check the number and dial again', even though it just called you, my advice is not to answer and block instantly.
