Safe number noticed this number once every month on my telephone bill with a monthly charge of 14p. Turns out it is an automatic test call from PPP Taking Care alarm which we have for elderly mother. Called them to ask why we are being charged as we pay a quarterly handling charge. They very kindly switched this to a freephone number so no more charges.
SCAM prerecorded message accusing of tax fraud. Sensing a scam I hung up before hearing more and went to search for who the number came from but found nothing.
Its a travel agency called www.mytripuk.com safe reliable and cheap. Highly recommended.

Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. Claiming to be citizens advice which unless you've called them which i havnt they dont call you. Hung up and blocked. 23/12/2022 Scam caller who called about housing repairs for reported defects.
Recorded message. Rapid speech. Didn't catch who it claimed to be from, but stated that certain suspicious charges had been made to my account or card. Asked me to press option 1 etc. No doubtI would have been asked for security info in order 'to identify me'.

Domestic and General asking me if I wanted to have breakdown cover for my fridge freezer and cooker as well as my washing machine ( which I currently have). A bit insistent when I said no, and asked why so when I said ‘because I don’t want to’ she ended the call. It was quite a friendly manner but as above, quite pushy. Asked me to contact them if I change my mind.
The caller didn't say anything and then hanged up.
Appears to be via a phone app generating scam numbers - I can't believe a decorators in Birkenhead would be sending out dozens of daily phone calls! Didn't ring for long, and didn't leave a message either.

They will try to gain access to your account (Account Takeover) and add upgrades and payment plans. ie, ordering Apple Watches from your account which they will have delivered to their own address but you will essentially be paying for these! Avoid call at all costs.
Purporting to be bank security calling about an Amazon transaction and an International transaction. Calls 3/4 times a day using various local numbers.
