SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. I received an unexpected call from 020 8058 1673. Upon answering I heard a robotic voice (female) saying 'Goodbye' and the line went dead. With all the incidents of spyware and viruses being deployed via a call, this is rather alarming. Please be careful. Do not answer this Automated call number.

So far 3x calls today, all using different phone numbers, and numerous previous "Amazon" calls over past weeks using different numbers. Tend to be worse on a Thursday. I've signed up to the TPS service by they still keep coming through. Why can't somebody stop these devious crooks?

I rang back hiding my number, when put through, I was told my details had been passed to them from national database, and that I had been involved in a road collision. I told her she didn t know who I was, but insisted my phone number was displayed and matched to the database. Obviously from the outset this is just a cold call hoping who ever answers has been involved in some kind of accident
