SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities. I got so fed up I played along with him for 15 mins - he wanted to take control of my PC in order to fix (non existent) problems with my router. What he would have done is anybody s guess, but I assume it would not be to my advantage and probably would have cost me money !
