I was curious of this number previously but have now related it to my house alarm which is set up to text me when there is a fault/activation of my house alarm. Every month an automated check is done on the phone line (hence the 61p charge on my bill) to check the system is still working ok and able to then text when required. A small price to pay I guess for piece of mind when having an alarm system, but unfortunately something my alarm fitter forgot to mention when installing it!

I think it s a person more than a computer as first my mobile rang them as soon as that rang off, the house phone rang. I ignored both.
Scam about "government funding" that is extremely limited. It was my lucky day apparently... AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE - they will scam you out of your savings.
