I rang the number back and It was a company trying to claim my PPI back for me, just keept trying to talk over me so I hung up.

daily missed calls from this number, no messages left. The one time I did answer a young female voice asked for my name, I said "why, who have you called?" she said she couldn t tell me because of data protection?? I have blocked the number, but still get called daily, even on Saturdays and Bank Holidays!

This is Addenbrooke s hospital appointments reminder department in Cambridge. You have to wait for a call back to confirm you are able to attend the appointment. They do tend to call at odd times but a sensible service. Just remember to bring your appointment card otherwise parking will cost you an arm and a leg. pun intended

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

The caller was a man with a foreign accent. He started to tell me he was calling about my computer but I decided it was a scam, told him I wasn t interested, hung up and blocked the number. I do not generally answer numbers that I do not recognise but as it was 08.30, I thought it could be somthing important.

Caller asked for someone else who lives in the house by name - after teh ususal telemarketing pause of silence..... When I explained they were not in and asked if I could take a message, the caller sounded annoyed that the person he called for was not in, and then HE HUNG UP. . Cold caller? Telemarketer? Rude - yes!

Calls every day around 8am - luckily I have my phone on mute at this time. Message left says they?re calling from Lloyds Banking Group (Lloyds/Halifax/BoS/MBNA/Sainsbury?s Bank etc.). I?ve never banked with any of these outfits so best guess is scam.

Unwanted phone call received stating it was in reference to a road accident. Details had been passed to them by my insurance company????

I get calls from this number and others very similar with only the last three numbers different every 2-3 days, all from a PPI company. I keep blocking but they keep phoning from slightly different numbers! Driving me insane.

they aren't cowboys to be fair, i have done some background on them, seem legitimate

Scam pretending to be BT Open Reach. They say you have a problem with your internet connection in some way. Most likely they will hack your PC / install a virus / basically remote criminal damage. Do not follow instructions as it will likely cost you

Missed call, no voice mail, didn t call back

PPI. They said it was called HELP YOUR CLAIM. I asked to speak to the manager and told them that my phone was registered to not receive cold calls, and asked them where they got my number from. They asked for my email address so they could let me know where they obtained my number from. I refused to give it, as next thing they will be sending me emails too.
