a SCAM perpetrated by HMRC? Could not sort Tax code out online and was told to ring another number. Called it and after lengthy process getting into the right Q and waiting 18 minutes was told to ring 08444740101 instead. (charged £12.25 for waiting during that call!). these people rang on several occasions from various numbers around the country as I blocked them one by one. they rang whilst I was at work, even though I said not. The last call from this number I told them to take me off the list and they would not give up, even after saying I couldn't take calls at work. in the end I said if you ring back I will take this further and hung up.
