Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Received a call from 0161 818 2004 earlier this afternoon from an chap with an Indian accent. He enquired about any motor accidents/claim that I may have had in the last 3 years. All he had was my phone number. I was immediately suspicious. He said he had a legal duty to obtain further details (name, address, date of accident, cars involved etc) and that I was legally obliged to supply it. He claimed to be acting on behalf of a bank of insurers, but failed to identify any insurers that I had policies with.

I was called from an unknown Brighton number last week also. It was another one starting with 6 . I looked it up and the comment was that it was a dangerous number. ...

Initial call rec d from this number which was silent. Then bombarded with with grossly offensive sexual texts. Own enq s so far indicate that the number is on the 02 network and is a pay as you go number. Other enq s in hand to identify subscriber.

They seem to get numbers and call them, unsure where they get their private numbers from and the information or not on who may answer. I have had over 40 calls from these people on their new number 0161 939 7225. These scammers are trying to get you to claim PPI and will not take no for an answer. They rang me at 19.06 p.m.When I picked up they were said hello a few times as if they couldn t hear me. I was expecting a call from an unknown number but did not fall for the ring back ploy and came on here. From comments it looks shady so I will block it for future reference.
