Some guys called me asking if I was Mr. R. (I'm a woman btw). I said "no" so he said "forget the name then, your number was put as a first point of contact following a minor incident involving a car". When I explained I don't own a car, and have never in my 31 years been involved in any incidents, he just refused to believe me. Kept saying "it was just a minor" over and over again. Clearly a scam and a bad one at that - bit embarrassing how amateur their scamming was to be hone

Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? Information
The above number sent me an sms that has a suspicious link with the message that my PayPal account has been suspended. In order to resolve the issue they were asking me to log onto my PayPal account through the link. I contacted PayPal they said they didn't send any text message and that my account wasn't suspended. So they are scammers based in Kazhakstan.
Missed call. No message left. Assume was sales cold call like others mentioned here.
Ambulance chasers. Accident wasn't my fault. Blah blah. Managed to waste 3 minutes of their time by playing along but being dumb. Hung up on me eventually:)
