Please could you make your users aware of this possible scam Please be aware that this weekend one a colleague received a missed call from a telephone number starting 070 XXXXX..... when called back it passes you through to a messaging service. The mobile user checked with BT discovered it is a new scam to pass you through three numbers and it costs about ?100 for fifteen minutes. Please warn other mobile users of this 070 code coming up on their phones and not to answer it. If it comes up as a misse
Caller said he was from BT as suspicious activity was noticed on this line.

Online search says it should be Nat West fraud department, but also that it could be scammers spoofing the number.
Didn't recognise the number. Answered, called hung up. No words exchanged

This number called me and knew my name, despite pronouncing it incorrectly. They asked me if i d ever had a loan in the last 5 years blah blah blah. Asked me to prove who I was. I was very taken and thought, why should I prove who I am . I hung up after this. Although I hate to appear rude. I felt it was very untrustworthy and a telemarketer.

Picked up thr phone as its our area cde BUT the rest of the number doesn?t match our area, asked for my mom told them im her daughter they put phone down... sounded like a call centre!
Same as above. Unsolicited call about grant scheme for new boiler. My number is registered with the telephone preference service.
