Hung up when answering machine started
SCAM SPAM automated call purportedly from a bank reporting authorisation for an international bank payment.
Rang twice and hung-up before I was able to answer

Automated ‘Shirley’ voice, saying my IP address has been compromised in ‘several countries’, and they will turn my internet connection off in 24 hrs. Yeh- right!. They will of course give me a new IP address for free. I was chatting along sarcastically to the automated voice, and don’t know if ‘Shirley’ was listening or not, but the call was suddenly ended. Number blocked
Assuming scam as i do not know anyone in Bournemouth,
Someone saying they were from the technical department of Virgin Media and mentioning that my broadband speed had not been very good over the past couple of days. When I asked how I could tell that they were from Virgin Media they hung up.
