Upon answering a call on the land line around 18:30 this evening, the caller hung up so out of curiosity I dialled 1471 (UK), the call back service and I pressed 3 on my phone to be put directly through to the missed call number. I didn t catch the receivers company name but heard a American or maybe Canadian Man s accent and instructions for extension required. I was contacted from the above number area code for coppull in lancashire when I live in norfolk, but could not reply on trying to call them there was a message to leave my name and tel number.Surely this is another8 scam

They call me at least a dozen times a month, Trying to sell me a fuel card. I have asked them to remove my number from their list?????? I would note have a Fuel Card off them anyway.

SCAM 0141729 8573 After initial silence, caller said his name was John and he was my local energy adviser in my area. I asked where he had got my number from as mine was X-Directory and he shouldn’t have it. As I was asking him to delete it he kept forcibly talking over me. I hung him. Blocked his number with BT. Do not give anyone on this number any information.

This is a blind number clearly coming from some bloody Asian call centre (that s why their calls are all after lunchtime). They ve also been harassing my elderly mother. Time to block these scum.
