Caller phoned my elderly Aunt claiming to be from HMRC and wanting information. My Aunt had the sense that something wasn't right and put the phone down to call them back to find out who they are, but couldn't work out the response. Thankfully she gave no information and I reassured her that HMRC would not cold call after office hours.

Caller launched straight into his sales script - something about energy efficiency double glazing, so I hung up. He called straight back so I hung up again without speaking. Called back third time so I told him politely that we do not accept unsolicited calls & my number is registered with TPS . Therefore he should not be calling, and please don’t call again. He wasn’t listening but continued with his script regardless whilst I was talking. Then told me to “Shut my F*****g mouth up” And hung up.
