Home UK suspected scammer. "Properties in your postcode area are experiencing high energy bills. We have been asked by the suppliers to find out why that might be. This is not a cold call." When I asked what postcode area, he hung up.
Have had several calls from this number, when I asked where they got my number from was told the standard lie "opt-in data". They are just cold calling people with the hope of conning you - do not share your information with this outfit. What I do is when I have a spare minute I WITHHOLD my number and bombard these parasite with random calls. So If you can spare the time just keep calling these parasites back from a withheld number - see how they like it!
Could not understand, the person calling me. I am with BT so don't know why EE would call me.
