Scam. Definitely. So-called call from "security department". I asked 'security department' of what? The woman (Asian voice - lots of background "office" noise) repeated, 'This is the Security Department!' to which I repeated "Of what?!" She hung up. Point made. Case closed. Catch the bastards!

HALIFAX FRAUD DEPT IF a payment gets red flagged this dept of HALIFAX ring to verify that it was you that made the transaction IF this number rings you just ring HALIFAX 0345 720 3040 for your own piece of mind and ask to speak to FRAUD DEPT (HALIFAX told me they had tried to ring me more than once)

I received a call from this number 01793 540172, claiming that he is from EE and that there is a promotion going to reduce my monthly mobile bill and again he phoned up with another number 01997 617576. I checked with EE and there is No promotion at the moment. they are scammers.
