This number rang my elderly mother and said they were a price comparison site for insurance. She seemed to know my mother's car insurance was due. She knew my mother's name and address and my mother unwittingly gave her her DOB.

Stated "This is your internet provider, due to your internet being compromised we will be disconnecting your internet in the next 24 hours". I suggest this is either a scam or a very aggressive sales call. Voice sounded female American but may well have been digital.
