Website design from India. They use details from domain registrations (but these calls never identify where they got my mobile number). Silly thing is I manage hundreds of domains and do website design myself. I use a spare Android nobile with call blocking to dump any unknown numbers direct to voicemail so it costs them for every call, and guess what, they never leave a message! With 4 calls in 2 days it also seems like they will keep trying and not cut their costs.
Calling looking for someone unknown asking for phone number etc. to take the number off their records or cannot guarantee more calls will not be received. Ignored to start with but now being called several times a day.
TAXES / HMRC - Claims to be HMRC and about to issue an arrest warrant .... Would expect HMRC not to use an automated voice and to address me by name - Number Blocked

When called there is a recorded message claiming call was about business sales and marketing. Offers opportunity to opt out of calls by pressing 1.

For an up front cash fee(?290 or ?615) payable via Western Union, to India, he will arrange transfer of funds to you which amount to 10 s of thousands of pounds. Once the cash fee is paid another Indian sounding gentleman phones to get the Western Union transfer number(MCTN)& tells you everything
