A young cocky individual will ring you up, asking stupid questions, mentioning that he would want to invest money with you, etc. Without understanding how markets, finance or investments work. Sounds like a scam. Don't waste your time on stupid people.

Got a phone call saying I've won a makeover and they named a friend of mine. They said I'd had a text in 2015 about it... it's 2017. Bit of a late follow up call..

This call left a voice message saying it was Officer Gray from HMRC in a strong American accent and to phone a number they left. Definitely a scam call

I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Once I told him as much, he rang off. I called the number back, and it is not recognised. This was an amateurish attempt at reproducing a tired and worn-out scam. Unfor
