Just received a call from this number who said they were from EE. I think it was tele marketing as he asked how many mobiles were in the home. Told him I thought he got my number from a data base and that if EE wanted me they would txt me or email me.

I was told that they were a promotional team working on behalf of BT. They offered me a discount on my BT bill of 45%! Wanted to know how I paid my bill. I told them that as BT had supplied them with my name, address and telephone number they should have supplied them with this information also. There was a long pause, then the line went dead. Incidentally the young lady caller pronounced the letter Z (the last letter of my postcode) as 'zee' - an Americanism.

Unfortunately I fell into a lot of debt and Vanquis was part of that debt although I only had 150 limit on my care. After my first late payment I was getting about half a dozen calls from their vast range of different numbers. I ve been called at night, weekends and even on my work phone. This was causing a lot of unnecessary stress. In a way the stress pushed me to seek help. I contacted CAB about 6 weeks ago. They reviewed my situation and suggested I apply for a Debt Relief Order which I did. My applic
