Called at 4am. Nobody on line just beeps and static

Silent call, I answered but no one spoke then they hung up.
They called up impersonating HMRC with an automated message saying that there has been tax fraud in your name and that you will be arrested shortly if you don't press 1 and speak to someone immediately

This must be an HMRC scam; when you connect a recorded voicemail advises you're suspected of tax evasion and can press '1' to learn more about this before legal action is taken. To get as much information about the scam as I could knowing I wouldn't give any details up I pressed 1, was put through to a call centre, I advised this felt like a false call so far so could I please confirm who I was speaking to - the agent simply said 'well you can handle this at court then' and hung up the line.

Several calls, all bogus wanting security details just hang up and block the number.
Silent call. Called me at 9:10 on a Saturday morning. I answered the call but it was silent and they hung up. It's likely automated 'robot' calls to test whether a phone number is in use/active.
Automated message claiming to be from HMR&C regarding a court claim.
Called mobile. Sent to voice mail as left no message so either wrong number, twit or dubious with dubious as the most likely option.
