Got a call ( automated) purporting to be from the tax office, all kinds of veiled threats about warrants and arrests. I m currently in the US so let it run on a bit before hanging up. HMRC do not send unsolicited texts. Total scam.

The guy who rang told me he was phoning on behalf of Uswitch concerning possible better deals for my area with gas & electricity supply. I wasn t interested as I told him my hubby deals with all of that stuff, I suggested he call them back if interested, but he said thar wouls not be possible as he was phoning from an outbound call centre, so he just replied with "ok, thanks anyway for your time & have a good day" No hassle, & very pleasant.
