Skytourts, although caller spoken poor English and every time I asked a question he put me on hold after 17 mins I hung up, paid on line instead. Just a pity I didn't catch...
recorded message, woman with american accent, claiming to be calling from BT, telling my that my internet connection was to be terminated. Instructed me to press 1 to connect to BT or press 2 to disconnect my internet connection. Obviuos scam, rang off and blocked number.

From Punjab so can t be a legitimate reason to call, especially on a newly installed phone where not even the family knows the number!
They said they were from BT and that someone was trying out get food and shelter in my name and wanted me to connect to my laptop so told him my husband had the laptop at work and that I would ring him back later
