Whoever they ask for tell them to remove your number and do not confirm any information with whatsoever; it will be sold to others even if you answer no to questions like "have you had an endowment policy" (see another post elsewhere online. They will call from a spoofed London number but seem to have call centres all over the place. The caller said that I had to renew my life insurance and I answered this cheeky liar, that I have absolutely no insurance. He only: "Perfect then, I offer now the best offer to". I said gently, that I have no interest and hung up. Unfortunately, it did not stop at this one call and slowly the nerves.

Actually sounded very plausible. Knew my name and address. Said that my washing machine cover had run out. SCAM People pretending to be from BT saying that internet has been compromised. Try to get you to let them have control of you PC via Anydesk, and get really angry when they find out you're playing with them and wasting their time - 28 minutes to be exact. :-)
