Claimed to be HMRC but obviously a scam. Recorded message informed me that I was on file for committing an offence, and my house was now under surveillance. Message requested call back.
My 75 year old mother just received a call from this number, offering the call filter box for 79p a week, then free after 3 years. She was polite, and sounded plausible enough. But thinking about it, she also mentioned a high number of calls in the area, how this miraculous device would filter all calls from here to India - even badmouthing BT and the call centres they use 01273041661
This number keeps calling, I m not sure why but I never answer a premium number unless i recognise it. It was followed by a text from a different number saying I have had an injury (which I haven t) and can make a claim so I am assuming it is from the same place.
