First time I answered today they hung up. Second time I answered an Indian gentleman spoke, I asked who he was and his response was that he was calling on behalf of my life insurance company Aviva, I responded "I don t have a life insurance... with Aviva". He quickly cut off the call. I ve now blocked his number but notice on my call log they ve called and not got through to me 7 times since January 1st. Definitely up to no good.

Actually sounded very plausible. Knew my name and address. Said that my washing machine cover had run out. Couldn't remember when I bought it but didn't think that it was over a year and thought I had 5 year manu's warranty (checked afterwards & correct on both counts). Company was APS or something. Fraudulent and threatening automated call pretending to be HMRC, saying that a court warrant had been issued on my account and that I would be arrested shortly if I did not continue the call. Just waiting for the police to turn up now.
Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam
