I don’t know the number but called at 8am ..not in contacts so not answered ..reason I wanted to look up but you have no inf on it

This number called me today while I was in class and my phone started flashing I looked at it under the table and it said it was from Manchester

Three phone calls from this number. Heavy accent hard to understand. Claims to be doing an important energy survey and that number will be removed from list afterwards. Refused to give company name when asked and repeated it was important survey and they needed my gas/electric details. Becomes rude and aggressive when you ask questions.

Cold caller ... Just told them straight away I wasn't who they was calling for (lol) told them to take my name off database not had a call since. Works every time.

Recorded message starting "NatWest, Barclays, ...". Tried to hang up but call appears to hold the line open! Called 1471 when dial tone returned. I am registered with TPS.

This company is very aggressive and uses several tactics purporting to be an energy supplier or meter registration dept. They are energy consultants without qualms and trying to scare end users into agreeing a contract over the phone by saying that they are on extortionate out of contract rates, etc. Best way to deal with these people is to say you have signed a long-term contract and therefore not interested in their services. The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Received several missed calls from this number. Rang it back and a man answered by saying "Yeah". I said I had a missed call he then said he could offer me a new contract and beat what I am currently paying. I said I didnt need a new phone. He then said I can get a contract for ?9.50. I said not interested as you havent told me the name of the company or even his name. He quickly blurted something out which I couldnt understand.
