I got about £26 of charges stacked up because I ignored the messages as they seemed like spam until I saw my phone bill... Then rang EE but they apparently can't give me a refund, but they at least have stopped more from coming through.. rang the number and they apparently have referred me to another team to get a refund but i dont believe it...

I have a phone with night mode switched on for 23hrs and 55mins. This only gives them a 5 minute window to make the phone ring unless they are in my phonebook.
