SCAM Automated voice saying they were HMRC phoning to advise that I was the subject of some fraudulent activity and advised me to press 1. They said that if I didn't press 1 and did not get connected, the Police would come to arrest me immediately.

recorded message advising that internet would be cut off, Ive heard this message at a friends house also so would hazard a guess that this is a scam - the number that dialled was different at my friends house. Message says to press 1 to speak to BT

Two calls from these CLINTS today so far. Silence when I answered. These ass holes are blighting my landline. If I started calling a random person and doing this BT would trace the calls and the police, quite rightly, would be down on me like a ton of bricks. I m a little person you see. I am expected to obey the law and pay my taxes or face the consequences. The law doesn t apply to big business though. They can do what they like and the government does sod all about it. The numbers they call from frequently change, the latest being this number. 01997 280702 is also one currently used by them. 01212 840668 used to be theirs but is now discontinued. Call center. Caller said they were from 3 network, offering me a new phone contract. They finally hung up on me after a few minutes of me pretending not to know things about phones.
SCAM called saying they were from BT and going to disconnect my service, BUT I am with Virgin Media!

I found out this number belongs to OXFORD COUNTY TELEPHONE & TELEGRAPH CO landline from Sumner, ME They have been calling me for a week now.
Had a missed call, called it straight back to the exact same number, got through to a residential user who denied having anything to do with calling me, piggy backing...scam? Probably
