SCAM- CLAIMED TO BE HMRC -THEY SAID THEIR WAS A TAX FRAUD IN MY NAME. i ASKED THEM WHAT MY NAME WAS. SHE (NOT ENGLISH) SAID SHE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE ME THAT I SHOULD GIVE HER MY DETAILS NOW OR SHE WOULD SEND THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY. I TOLD HER i WOULD PUT THE KETTLE ON FOR WHEN THEY ARRIVED! Man with Indian accent. Said his name was Jerry. Called me Mrs [first initial of my oh s first name + his surname] which anyone can look up in the phonebook. Asked me if I was this person. I didn t tell him. Said he was from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I just pressed the red button.

Sounded like an Asian call centre. The callers voice was faint and I cold not understand what they wanted. Since this is a mobile number and the caller appeared to be in a call centre I consider it suspect.
9 calls in 2 weeks even with the number logged on the call blocker and they still get through with this irritating massage about a supposed SMS message which can’t be recovered. Whoever this is needs shooting ! I eventually called BT and asked them to block the number from ever reaching me.

They call from this number twice a day under the guise of different company names - Direct Utilities, Business Utilities, Select Utilities, Regional Utilities. They are clearly dumb, because when requested to remove our details from their records and stop calling, they say OK and then don t do it, despite being told the we only have a mailing box address and therefore have no need for utilities. Go back to school, children!
