I rang back hiding my number, when put through, I was told my details had been passed to them from national database, and that I had been involved in a road collision. I told her she didn t know who I was, but insisted my phone number was displayed and matched to the database. Obviously from the outset this is just a cold call hoping who ever answers has been involved in some kind of accident

i ordered an o2 sim card yesterday and since then i have had 7 missed calls of this number. Informed me that they could help with my recent RTA. When I said that I haven t had an accident, they said that I must have, cos I had been searching for motor insurance. I explained that I was comparing prices because my motor insurance was due for renewal, they insisted that I had had an accident, and they could help. I had to terminate the call. Who are these people? More to the point, how did they get my mobile number?
